3D Class Week 14 Creating An Environment Part 02 (Landscape Tool and Custom Rock Set)
For this week, the next steps were to implement our tiling textures into our environment and create a set of rocks to help populate it.
I'm not happy with how the grassy dirt texture for the ground turned out. I will have to return to it later and make it contrast and noticeably tile less.

2D Class Week 13 Lighting 2
For this week, we are doing another piece focused on lighting. This time I chose my Urbosa amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Due to time constraints, I could not complete the piece or polish some areas, but I am still happy with how it turned out.

3D Class Week 13 Creating An Environment Part 01 (tiling textures/geometry)
This week we are starting to create an environment. I've decided to do a hillside cave.
For a start, I determined I would need a grassy dirt and a rockface tiling texture for the ground and rocky cliff face, respectively.
I started by roughing out an idea of my environment in Photoshop |
I then worked on my desired scale in UE4 |

2D Class Week 13 Film 5 – The Thing
1. Who was the director of the film? What other movies has this director produced?
John Carpenter.
John Carpenter also directed the original Halloween, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, and Christine (1983).
2 Artistically, what did you like about this film?
I enjoyed the practical use of effects for the Thing's imitations, though some were better than others.
3. Who is the thing at the end of the movie ?
Blair is the last member of the research station shown to be imitated by the Thing, but Childs' lengthy absence during MacCready's last confrontation with the creature may hint he was also infected.

2D Class Week 11 Composition Part 02
For this week, I chose this early scene from Alien:
To create this new composition piece:
I feel this piece satisfies an L or Rectangle composition, but it may also or otherwise satisfy a Thirds layout.
My previous piece used Circular composition.

2D Class Week 11 Film 4 – The Fifth Element
1. Who was the director of the film? What other movies has this director produced?
Luc Besson.
Luc Besson has also directed Lucy, Léon: The Professional, and the French animated Arthur series of films.
2. Artistically, what did you like about this film?
I liked the condensed, space efficient designs of the apartment that Korben lived in. The practically large window also showed good use with the floating Asian restaurant.
3. What actor played the role of Zorg?
Gary Oldman
